The Wine Palate (Lisa Perotti-Brown) 94 Points
- Reviewer’s Comments: The 2022 La Scala is a proprietary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah, and Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it offers up notes of blueberry pie, plum preserves, and licorice with underlying wafts of tobacco and crushed rocks. The full-bodied palate is packed with juicy black fruit flavors, framed by lightly chewy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and fragrant. Nicely done.
