VINEYARDS
Our 2020 Benedetto Cabernet Sauvignon from the Moulds Family Vineyard –- home to Napa Valley’s 2018 Growers of the Year. The vineyard lies on the western bench at the southern end of Napa Valley, with varied soil types created from ancient marine sediments and rocky alluvial fans. This area is cooler in summer and drier in winter than the Upper Valley. The marine influence from San Pablo Bay is strong here, producing foggy mornings and cool summer nights. Importantly for us, cooler nights and slowly rising daytime temperatures create a naturally long hang time that helps fruit reach optimal phenolic ripeness, bright acidity and great texture.

- Fermentation Details: 3-day cold soak, 10-day primary fermentation, 14-day extended maceration, malolactic fermentation in barrels
- Aging: 22 months in new & neutral French oak barrels

- Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
VINTAGE
2020 was a challenging year but the reward was well worth it! Warm, dry days and cool nights yielded near perfect conditions once again.
